Justice Reinvestment is a community led strengths-based approach that aims to shift peoples interactions away from the justice system by targeting the causes of crime such as poverty, unemployment, disengagement in education and homelessness, instead of incarceration.

requirements.

Group, and manage justice reinvestment staff to undertake community engagement and a circuit breaker ‘Point to Point’ initiative.

Justice Reinvestment is a better way of dealing with crime. Instead of locking people up it looks at why people may turn to crime in the first place.

The causes of crime can be family fighting, money worries, not having a job or other tough problems. By addressing the causes of crime with local community-led solutions, it tries to stop crime before it happens.

Instead of spending lots of money on jails, money will be put into things like helping people find jobs and houses.

Justice Reinvestment will make Katherine safer by preventing crime in the first place.
